Do you remember your first goal, score or win when you played school sport and how did it feel?

I remember just being a part of a team with all of my friends from school. We always had a great time.

What’s your fondest memory of playing sport at school?

Winning the school football competition grand final when I was in grade 6.

How old were you when it ‘clicked’ that you wanted to be a professional sports player?

I always wanted to be one. The moment it clicked and became more of a reality was probably when I was 15-16 years old.

What are your top three tips to children about playing sport?

Enjoy it, continue to work on your strengths as well as your weaknesses, and always encourage others and don't put them down.

The AFL offers two Sporting Schools programmes. Both aim to introduce children to AFL through fun, engaging and challenging games and activities that target a range of age groups and skill levels. Read more about the two Sporting Schools programme offerings via Learn AFL and Experience AFL.
